Project Overview
A private residence on a North West game farm had been without Eskom supply for more than 8 months. The owners needed a complete off-grid system that could run their entire property — reliably and independently.
We designed and installed a 20kW Sigenstor inverter with 2× 10kWh Sigenstor batteries, coupled with 20× 665W Aiko solar panels (giving 13.3kWp of generation).
Our Solution
Because the farm operates fully off-grid, we coupled the solar and battery system with a 20kVA generator and added smart switching for the geysers and the generator.
The system is managed through the Home Assistant app, which intelligently decides when to switch on the geysers and — if battery or solar can’t carry the property — when to start and stop the generator automatically.

The Result
The farm now runs entirely on its own power — solar during the day, battery into the evening, and automatic generator backup when needed. No Eskom required.
